The Subtle Art... Photography Edition
The complete title should have been 'The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A Fuck - Morning Walk Photography Edition'. But it's just too long so I cut it short.
The original thought was 'Meditation Through Walking Photography', but I changed it to a more appropriate one based on what I felt at the moment.
I took a morning walk at Plainsboro Preserve. It's on the chilly side this morning, but the sun was up and the fall colors were at their peak. The original thought was what was in my mind as I walked through the Preserve, enjoying the mix of the sun and the lake giving vibrant colors to the fall leaves. It was meditating, thus, the thought.
On the drive here, I was listening to the audiobook, The Subtle Art Of Not giving A Fuck - a contemporary approach in living life (I can't find the right thought I'd like to express), but I like the book. And when I got back to the car after the walk to get my morning coffee, I continued listening to it.
The moment applies more appropriately to my fucked up thoughts. I am the only one enjoying the pictures I took. Who the fuck gives a shit about a picture of a lake, a leaf, a branch? Birds that always fly away the moment I take the shot, leaving me with a blurred blank image? Who the fuck cares? Who cares!
I enjoyed the walk. I enjoyed the things I saw, the pictures I took. It's what matters. Now time to enjoy my coffee, and the bagel I just scored for $1.00.
I came back to the park in the afternoon to watch the sunset, but there was not a good view of the setting sun nor the shadows it cast. But I got to see the full moon rising on the drive home. Stopped, watched, and tried to take some good shots. I didn't have my tripod with me, so I just winged it and got this - cropped and applied the rule of thirds.
